Stretch Hinterberg Carriage Enhancement

Right/Left  Carriage Lock

(My version of "Channel Lock")

Objective:  To hold the carriage while making a horizontal pass. 

This mod allows infinite adjustment, while not a solid lock, it will hold the carriage while making a pass.

Most of the parts were found among junk in the workshop. 

1   Vertical section from a shelving system

1   Hinge from an old kitchen cabinet

1   Knob from an old radio

1   Tube of crazy glue

2   Magnets purchased from hardware store (Canadian Tire).    Similar magnets available at Ace Hardware

The magnets were crazy glued together and crazy glued to the hinge as shown.

There is no real need for two magnets. 

Any spacer material is sufficient to satisfy the geometry, required to position the magnet against the metal bar.
